雞籠中元祭前天完成放水燈遊行後，昨天相繼在慶安宮、主普壇舉辦中元普度法會，許多民眾在農曆7月15日這天備妥山珍海味、大豬公及特色地方小吃，招待好兄弟吃好用好，希望以傳統祭祀方式，敬天地鬼神祈福獲得平安。

前天雞籠中元祭在望海巷舉行各家放水燈，不少水燈殘骸漂浮在海面上，環保局指出，各家水燈都是用竹子及紙紮製成，其實都屬於可分解、回收材質，但為了海洋環境，仍派員前往海域清理，直至昨天中午已將該海域清理完畢回復景觀。

繼放水燈遊行之後，昨天登場則是號稱「宮普」的中元普度，文化局表示以往普度分為私普、公普，私普多為居民、社區、寺廟、公司行號，在鬼月的任何一天都能舉辦，公普又稱大普，都是在農曆7月15日舉行，公普時設壇於慶安宮，設醮於主普壇，費用則由輪值主普的鄭姓宗親會籌集。 昨天下午法師率主普鄭氏宗親振鈴召請好兄弟前來，以山珍海味供品、滿漢全席祭奉，除了道地美食外，宮廟為了供「外國人」孤魂享用，同時也準備牛排、漢堡、蛋糕等供品，現場也備有牙膏、毛巾及換洗衣物，希望好兄弟食用完祭品整裝「再出發」，處處設想周到。
